These workshops are designed to help employers better recruit and retain skilled immigrants, as well as increase their cultural competence.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Recruiting and Selecting: Learn sourcing, screening (telephone and resume screening) and interviewing techniques to better recruit immigrant professionals.
Cultural Competence: Improve your individual and organizational cultural competence through case studies and role play.

WORKSHOP FORMAT
Workshops will be facilitated by experienced diversity consultants and will include filmed simulations, an employer resource guide and online tools and resources. Employers will be introduced to local community agency job developers, who can connect them directly to pre-screened skilled immigrant candidates.

WORKSHOP DETAILS
Since 2008, eleven workshops have been offered to employers in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). TRIEC is now planning for the next series of workshops. Check this web page for details.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
If you are responsible for hiring, then you should attend a workshop. Priority will be given to those with hiring responsibilities. Workshops are only currently offered in the GTA.
